The Artist Behind Palette
Palette is the vision of Rishma Lath, a contemporary artist and designer whose work has always been guided by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, materiality and thoughtful design. From hand-painted accessories to handcrafted handbags, her journey has always been about creating pieces that are expressive, intentional and made to be cherished.
An Artist First
Alongside her work as a designer, Rishma is an established contemporary artist whose paintings explore Indian mythology, devotion and traditional artistic influences through a distinctly contemporary perspective. Her work draws inspiration from classical Indian art traditions including Pichhwai, Kalamkari and Pattachitra while developing a visual language that is entirely her own.
Although painting and handbag design may appear to be different disciplines, they are driven by the same instinct — to create objects that are expressive, deeply personal and made with intention. Colour, balance, texture and composition remain central to everything she creates, whether on canvas or in fibre.
